The PNP (Philippine National Police) now has identified the person behind the deadly explosion in Davao City that took the lives of 14 individuals and injured 71 others last Sept. 2.
“We already know his true identity but cannot divulge his name yet while our manhunt operation is ongoing,” PNP chief Dir. Gen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa in an interview at the Batangas Port on Thursday.
Dela Rosa said that the primary suspect is a member of a terrorist group but he declined to reveal the man’s affiliation as it would affect the investigation.
Dela Rosa will soon visit the Mimaropa Regional Police Office in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro.
On Wednesday, police revealed the artist’s sketch of the male suspect who left the black bag containing a homemade bomb at the night market on Roxas Avenue. He was wearing a black face mask.
