Viral: Photo of Police Officer Fixing Young Boy's Bike Earns Recognition

A Connecticut police officer has recently gain recognition for going above and beyond the line of duty by fixing a young boy's bike.

Officer Michael Castillo of the Ansonia Police Department had responded to a call regarding a fight outside of Target. The three-year veteran arrived at the scene and noticed a couple of boys he recognized from the neighborhood; upon clarifying that the boys were not fighting, he noticed that the chain on one of the boy's bike was loose so he turned the bicycle over and fixed it for them.

After he fixed the two-wheel vehicle, he told the boys to play somewhere else so that they would not be a bother to Target customers. Unbeknownst to him, his good deed didn't go unnoticed by a woman who happened to be passing by at that moment. The woman, Faith Taylor, posted the photo on the Ansonia Police Department Facebook fan page and got 410 shares and 1.4 thousand likes in just a week.
