A female gray wolf with a male brown bear companion were found in the fields of Northern Finland. The couple were followed and photographed by 3 photographers for 10 days.
The pictures were taken by Lassi Rautiainen, Susan Brookes and Staffan Widstrand; depicting the unusual friendship between a wolf and a bear: two equally-ferocious predators.
“No one can know exactly why or how the young wolf and bear became friends, but I think that perhaps they were both alone when they were young and a bit unsure of how to survive alone. It seems to me that they feel safe being together," Lassi said in the post
Maybe if a bear and wolf can be friends, we humans can look past physical appearance, race and culture and eventually try to live peacefully with one another.
