The Girl Who's Face Burned Off Attends Prom in Rolls-Royce

The Promenade/Prom or school leaver's ball is one of the most unforgettable experiences in a young girl's life. To most teenagers, it marks as a rite of passage; to 16-year-old Terri Calvesbert, it was a dream come true.

Terri is physically scarred for life after a devastation fire at her home in Ipswich, Suffolk, where her face and hair burned off, when she was just 2 years old. She had nearly died then, and she has had over 50 operations to stretch her scarred skin. She was privileged to have been given donations from all over the world to account for her skin expenses.

The teen arrived in All Manor of Events at Henley and felt like a star when she got cheers from schoolmates and faculty. She couldn't contain her excitement and happiness at the memorable event.

Terri is planning to study Animal Care at Otley College, Ipswich.
