Awesome 9-Year Old Builds Houses for Homeless People. Read More About Her Inspiring Story!

We hear stories of Heroism and Humanitarianism all the time but this one would probably be on the top of our list.

Hailey Fort was just 5 years old when she spotted a homeless man in Kitsap County, Washington. She felt sympathy for the man and she asked her mom if she could help that poor man and when her mom said yes, it was the permission to begin a mission in a young girl's heart.

She has been helping homeless people since that day, and now, four years later, her project involves a lot of tools, wood and equipment. She's making twelve mobile sleeping shelters for homeless people in her area. Hailey's parents, community supporters and donors helped her in her project but everything is her idea.

Aside from the homes, she has planted her own garden with the hopes of feeding homeless people with nutritious vegetables she grew herself. She says she wants to be a Philanthropist: Someone who takes care of people.
