A couple who’s on the way to a vacation on an Air Canada flight suddenly became parents. The couple from Victoria, Canada who wasn’t even expecting that they were having a baby suddenly became parents midflight on their way to Tokyo, Japan.
Couples Ada Guan and Wesley Branch were several hours into their flight to Tokyo when Ada suddenly felt pain in her stomach and really felt ill, she was transferred to business class for the moment. The couple thought that it was just a severe case of stomach upset or ulcer but then Wesley said to news reporters that “She told me, ‘Something fell out of me”, “I lifted up her pants, and I saw a head then I heard, ‘Waaah!’ “I thought, ‘Oh my God, I think we have a kid”.
The couple even said that Ada took a pregnancy test recently and came back negative. That is why it was so unusual for the couple to be prepared for the “GIFT” they received. Ada didn’t even gain much weight or showed little indications that she was pregnant. That’s when baby Chloe was born. Air Canada's policy states that a pregnant woman with "no previous history of premature labour" can fly within the first 36 weeks of pregnancy.
