So far, ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise now has a total profit of 1.37 Billion dollars according to Universal. Furious 7 now earned $119 million in ticket sales in its opening weekend and $283 million on its entire theatre run in the US, Canada according to Boxoffice.com.
After Paul Walker’s Death, Universal Studios thrown to doubt that it will never hit the market. But it has emerged stronger than ever and now they are planning more of the series. The production said that on April 14, 2017 is the debut of “Furious 8” and it was confirmed by Vin Diesel at Universal CinemaCon panel in Las Vegas.
“We were giddy and excited,” said Diesel. “You all gave me so much confidence. There was so much love.”
Just before Diesel made his announcement, footage screened of the final moment of “Furious 7, “a scene in which the two characters go on one final car race before going their separate ways.
“You’ve been so loyal all along,” Diesel told exhibitors. “You helped us create history here.”
“Furious 7″ is No.7 on the list of highest-grossing films of all time after hitting $1.15 billion at the worldwide box office.
